About Us:
Big J's SoCal BBQ is a premier BBQ catering company based in various locations, specializing in delivering unforgettable culinary experiences for events across Southern California. We’re looking for energetic, dependable individuals to join our team as temporary onsite personnel, supporting event setup, food handling, and breakdown.
Responsibilities:
Event Setup:
Arrange tables, chairs, staging, and other event components per specifications.
Assist with décor placement and setup.
Ensure proper layout and alignment of the event space.
Food Handling:
Safely serve food to guests at buffets, stations, or plated meals.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Keep food service areas clean and organized.
Event Breakdown:
Take down event structures, tables, and decorations.
Pack and load equipment and materials.
Clean the event area thoroughly to meet company standards.
Other Duties:
Provide excellent guest assistance and direction as needed.
Maintain a professional, positive attitude during the event.
Adhere to the event schedule and supervisor instructions.
Qualifications:
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and working in fast-paced settings.
Food Handling Certification: Valid certificate required (or willing to obtain).
Flexibility: Available for various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Team Player: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to event sites.
